About the Guardian post on – Sustainability must join health and safety as a core business value

The article started with the sentence – “Businesses eventually realized health and safety benefited their bottom line. They need to recognize sustainability does the same”

Yesterday, the Guardian came out with an interesting article that highlights why sustainability can benefit businesses in the same way how health and safety did. The author, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Master of Environmental Studies, points out that because of the recognition of health and safety, thousands of dollars have been invested into changing the way the entire resource and manufacturing world operates. However the process took over 40 years to perfect. With the pressing issue of sustainability in relation to climate change and the increasing consumption of resources, we do not have another 40 years to get sustainability into every business.
