Sustainability at the Georgia Aquarium

The Aquarium at Atlanta, Georgia is the largest Aquarium in the world. The world’s largest aquarium with 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water, and more than 100000 animals representing 500 species from around the globe.

In my recent trip through Atlanta, I bought the city pass and decided to go through the Aquarium, given that it boast the name of the largest in the world. The first thing that I found walking through this large place is how each hall in this building is sponsored by some large company. GP, Home Depot, AT&T just to name a few. Other than this, there is also the fact that these companies are trying to appeal to the kids as well as the adults. There are dozens of sustainability post around the area by each company. I learned more about how GP use recycle materials compare to where the Fishes come from.

I must say, I almost thought that I was walking through a company tour for these companies instead of aquarium. Oh did I mention that they have whales? Yup. Right next to the AT&T sustainability post.
